Family Valentine Banquet - The 2016 church-wide Family Valentine Banquet will be on Sunday, February 14 in the CLC at 6:15pm (doors open at 6:00pm). Tickets are on sale in the lobby ($10 for adults and $5 for children). The menu is steak or chicken for the adults and chicken nuggets for the children. Our entertainer this year is Magician Arthur Atsma. Visit his website at atsmagic.com. Childcare is available upon request for babies through fives.  Six and older may attend the banquet and enjoy the magician. Please call the church office to reserve childcare (parents will need to feed children prior to banquet).  
Run for God—On February 8, Lawndale Baptist will begin a 13-week Run for God 5K Challenge. Part discipleship study/part 5K training, this class will help participants achieve new spiritual and physical goals through a potentially life-changing journey. We will meet each Monday from February 8—May 2. The training run will begin at 6:15pm followed by a conversational scripture study starting at 7pm. On May 7, RFG participants will complete the 5th Annual Gate City Sun Run (proceeds will benefit The End it Movement and Triad Ladder of Hope to stop human trafficking). The $50 program fee includes the RFG study book, RFG technical running shirt and the Gate City Fun Run race entry. For more information contact Dede Roberts at 336-655-1734 or potterdd@icloud.com. Spring Trip to Nashville, TN, April 28-May 1. Enjoy Music City USA in a weekend 3-night trip. We will enjoy a dinner show at Nashville Nightlight Theatre, Visit the Opryland Hotel, Country Music Hall of Fame, and even see a show at the Grand Ole Opry. Our visit will include a trip to a Nashville Church on Sunday morning. Registration brochures will be available soon.  Arvil Pennington is coordinating this trip.

Hold the Date for the 611! The NC Transportation Museum is sponsoring a day excursion on the 611 train on April 23. Ticket info will be available soon.  The 611 will travel to Roanoke, spend some time and then return to Greensboro. Tickets will most likely run around  $150 per person  round trip.  Notify the office if you wish to be placed on a serious info list. Arvil Pennington is coordinating this trip.
