Reach the Next Generation for Christ
Are you looking for a special place to share the Gospel and reach the next generation for Christ? The new church year begins in September and we have some wonderful openings in preschool and children's ministry on Sunday mornings, both hours; and Wednesday evenings in Missions Education. You may enjoy serving in a Mission Friends class on Wednesday evening. GA's need a couple of leaders who would enjoy the excitement of young elementary age girls. RA's need one or two men who are interesting in building strong Christian young men for our culture. Share your interest and we can discuss the possibilities with Arvil Pennington (email@example.com) or Emily Seabolt (firstname.lastname@example.org).
Promotion Sunday-September 6
Preschoolers will receive notice by mail of their new class. Elementary Children in grades 1-5 will promote to the next grade. Parents, for the safety of your children we require parents to pick up their elementary children when class ends in grades 1-3.
Extended Teaching for Preschoolers
Parents, we are currently staffing the Sunday morning 10:45 hour for babies-Kindergarten. Remember it is our church policy that parents who have a child in ET share in the ministry by serving monthly. Some 40 volunteers are needed each Sunday. That is 160 in a four Sunday month and 200 in a five Sunday month. Our ET coordinator, Emily Seabolt (email@example.com) will be glad to get you on the schedule. Each class is staffed by a team. We especially appreciate all our young dads who serve. Little children need to see that men love Jesus, too.

Weekday Preschool Scholarship Fund
Our Children's Learning Center has a wonderful ministry to preschoolers. Little ones receive a solid developmental foundation built on Christian principles. We have established a scholarship fund in memory of Marion and Doris Ellis (charter members of Lawndale Baptist Church). The fund will assist parents with monthly fees. Any amount you wish to give will honor this wonderful couple and help a preschool child get off to a great start in life. Checks can be made to "Lawndale Baptist Church" and designate it for "Weekday Scholarship Fund".
